Shortlisted for Self Build of The Year

This stunning self build featuring Norrsken windows has been shortlisted in the Build It Awards 2021.

The home was designed by RX Architects after the existing bungalow, which the clients planned to renovate, was found to be too run down to remodel.

Designing a Forever Home

The strikingly designed modern countryside new build on the outskirts of Rye in East Sussex highlights the growing use of timber in modern construction. With its timber frame shell, timber cladding externally and alu-clad timber windows this contemporary home blends in beautifully with its natural surroundings.

Externally, our products are finished in RAL 7005 Mouse Grey, echoing the metal-clad elements of the house. Clear lacquer finish internally exposes the timber frames, mimics the cedar exterior and extends the organic feel of the house.

Norrsken P33A windows enhance the overall thermal performance of the building, while the triple-glazed S315A lift and slide and S319A inline sliding doors help to blur the indoor spaces into the surrounding countryside.
