When do you want to be weathertight?

Estimated timings, based on typical processing times.

Choose a date to see your key dates.

Five stages, from first conversation to weathertight.

Most projects follow the same five stages.

Your dates fall into place once you know which stage you’re in. Choose a date in the planner above and each stage shows its date here.

  1. Your project takes shape

Your design is taking shape and you start researching suppliers.

From you: your target date and drawings
  2. Quote and initial deposit

Your drawings give us enough for an initial quote, which sharpens as you confirm your details. We take a 10% initial deposit, and you can keep refining afterwards.

From you: your choices, and the initial deposit
  3. Survey and technical details

We check every opening from your drawings or on site, then confirm sizes, finishes, glazing and hardware. Surveys are booked once your site is ready.

From you: a site ready for survey or reliable drawings
  4. Order-by date

    Final confirmation

You approve the final schedule and pay the manufacturing deposit. Manufacturing takes 6 to 12 weeks from the day your order is confirmed.

From you: your details, by the date we give you
  5. Made, fitted, weathertight

We hold your order at our Poole HQ until your site is ready, then deliver it to site and, where you choose our installation, fit it ourselves.

From you: a site ready for fitting

Early details protect your timescales.

We know that building or renovating is a complicated, and often stressful, process.

We ask for details early to protect your timescales: the sooner you can send them, the sooner your windows can arrive on site. Here are two places where projects most often slow down, and how we help you avoid them.

  • A survey booked before the site is ready

    What happens
We can only survey openings that are finished, or work through your drawings with you. If the openings aren’t ready when we arrive, the survey may need repeating, which can add a few weeks.

    How we help
Before we book, we send a short checklist, so you know exactly what to have in place: finished openings, clear and safe access, and someone on site who can talk us through the details.

  • Details that take time to decide

    What happens
Handles, colours, fire escape routes and accessibility needs can each feel like a small decision. There are around fifteen of them in all, and together they often take longer to settle than people expect.

    How we help
We give you the full list at the start, in plain language, and talk through each one with you. Sending your answers as you reach them keeps your order moving, and you can keep refining until you confirm.

One company, from first conversation to aftercare.

These early conversations are part of the service.

They are part of what makes your windows fit and perform as they were designed to. If you would rather decide later, tell us, and we will show you what that means for your dates.

  • Design

We settle every size, finish and detail with you before anything is made.

  • Make

Built to order at our factory in Mäo, Estonia, and checked against your specification before it leaves.

  • Install

Fitted by our own teams, with safety and lifting plans, and fitting kits specific to every project.

  • Care

Consultancy, support and aftercare are part of the work, and never a separate function passed to a third party.

It takes about a minute.

Building or renovating involves a great many decisions at once.

Tell us your date and we will work out which of them your windows depend on, and in what order.

  • 1. You send

You send your date and, if you have them, your drawings.

  • 2. We reply

Within five working days we reply with your estimate and marked-up drawings.

  • 3. You decide

You decide what happens next. There is no obligation.

When should I order my windows and doors?

As early as your design allows.

Allow about four months from sending us your details to windows on site, plus however long you take to settle your quote. The planner above shows your dates.

What does the deposit do?

We take a 10% initial deposit to confirm your project and reserve a provisional place in our production schedule. You can keep refining your details until your contract and manufacturing deposit.

Can my quote change?

Your first quote is based on what we know at that point, and it sharpens as you confirm details such as finishes, hardware and glazing. For a price that will not change, we need your full specification before the deposit.

Can I change my order later?

Once the factory confirms your order, changes are not usually possible, which is why we go through each detail with you first.

What do you need from me before a survey?

Photos of the site and elevations of your openings, your openings built (or sizes agreed with us in writing), your finished floor level confirmed, clear and safe access - including a completed R&D asbestos survey if your building was built before 2000 - and someone technical on site to talk through the details with us. We send a checklist before your survey is booked.

Do you offer supply only?

Yes, we offer supply only to any customer who prefers to arrange their own technical details and installation. You'll still get the same outstanding products, no matter what route you choose.

Why do quotes for windows like these vary so much?

Quotes vary because the specification behind the headline, and the service around it, are rarely the same. Two quotes can name the same frame and glazing yet differ on sizes, hardware, glass and finishes, on whether a survey and order detailing are included, and on who installs, checks the work and stands behind it.

[Placeholder: what our quote includes and excludes, to be confirmed with the team.]

Should I choose timber or aluminium-clad timber?

Both are available.

Timber gives you warmth inside and out and needs refinishing on the outside from time to time. Aluminium-clad timber adds a low-maintenance aluminium face and a wide choice of colours. We can talk through which suits your site when we reply.

Where do you work?

We supply and install across England and Wales, with showrooms in Poole, Swindon, East Grinstead and Derbyshire if you would like to see the products in person.

Start with a date. We’ll take it from there.

Send us your date and, if you have them, your drawings.

We will reply with your dates and a drawing review within five working days.
