TOP HUNG

Perfect for high-level ventilation and privacy, top hung windows open outward from the bottom with built-in friction brakes.

Ideal for bathrooms and kitchens where you want fresh air with privacy, as cool air flows in below while warm air escapes above. The design maintains excellent thermal performance and energy efficiency through advanced sealing systems.

SIDE HUNG

Our versatile side hung windows open outward on side hinges, offering maximum opening area and excellent ventilation without taking up internal space.

The classic choice for most residential applications, providing excellent ventilation control and unobstructed views. Multi-point locking systems ensure security while maintaining the sleek aesthetics that complement both traditional and contemporary homes.

FULLY REVERSIBLE

Clean your windows safely from inside with fully reversible operation, rotating 180 degrees for complete access to both sides of the glazing.

Particularly valuable for upper floors and hard-to-reach locations, these windows rotate completely, eliminating the need for external cleaning access. They feature weatherproof sealing and varied ventilation options as users can control airflow from multiple angles.

TILT-IN

Tilt-in operation provides secure ventilation by opening inward from the top, creating a controlled airflow while maintaining security and safety.

Ideal for anywhere you want ventilation with security, a gentle inward tilt from the top edge of the window delivers fresh air while the restricted opening prevents accidental falls. The perfect combination of effective airflow, easy operation and energy efficiency.

What is a turn-in window?

A turn-in window is an inward-opening casement window hinged on a vertical edge that opens fully into the room.

Unlike a tilt and turn window, it has a single turn mode only, without the tilt ventilation function. The inward-opening design allows easy internal cleaning, supports larger sash sizes than equivalent outward-opening hardware, and is well-suited to upper floors where external cleaning access is restricted.

What is the difference between a turn-in and a tilt and turn window?

A turn-in window offers inward-opening casement functionality only.

A tilt and turn window adds a second handle position that tilts the top of the sash inward for background ventilation without fully opening the sash.

If secure background ventilation is important - for instance, in occupied rooms overnight - the tilt and turn is the more versatile specification. If ventilation will be managed by other means, the turn-in is a simpler, cost-effective alternative.

Can turn-in windows accommodate larger sash sizes?

Yes. Inward-opening hardware supports greater sash weight than most outward-opening casement hardware, making turn-in windows suitable for larger openings.

This is a practical advantage in contemporary designs where large, clean-glazed windows are an architectural priority.

Are turn-in windows easy to clean?

Yes. The sash opens fully inward, giving complete access to both faces of the glass from inside the room.

This makes turn-in windows particularly well-suited to upper floors, where external cleaning access is impractical, and to apartment or multi-storey residential buildings.

Are turn-in windows energy efficient?

Yes. The inward-opening perimeter seal on turn-in windows, combined with multi-point hardware, delivers consistent thermal performance.

In Passive House-specified profiles with 88mm laminated timber frames and triple glazing, whole-window Uw values around 0.70 W/m²K are achievable, meeting the Passive House Institute's 0.80 W/m²K threshold.

Are turn-in windows suitable for a Juliet balcony?

Yes. Select inward-opening windows, including turn-in configurations, can be adapted for use with a Juliet balcony (a glass balustrade fixed externally at sill level).

The window opens fully inward to the balustrade, providing the appearance and ventilation benefit of a balcony opening without a structural balcony projection.
