This exceptional heritage project transformed the dilapidated, Grade II listed Newbery Steps cricket pavilion into a vibrant community space while honoring its rich sporting legacy.
Our bespoke timber windows elegantly complement the pavilion's distinctive curved roof design and historical character. Working alongside Greendale Construction and Footprint Architects, this 34-week restoration project has breathed new life into a structure that had been reduced to mere storage use in recent years Dorset Chamber.
Sustainability
A well-insulated thermal envelope, use of matching historic materials, and updated environmental standards will result in a building with low energy usage and increased durability. The contractors successfully re-used old floor boards for external cladding, and sarking boards internally to reduce the amount of virgin materials on site.
