Five phases, twenty-one stages, from your first showroom visit to the years after we hand over.
Phase 01
Explore and quote
01
Your quotation
A full, itemised price for your project, typically within 3–5 working days.
02
Showroom visit
Come and see the windows and doors in person, and talk the quotation through with us.
03
Revising your quotation
Most clients refine details 3–4 times before committing – and keep fine-tuning after the deposit, right up to order processing.
04
Deposit paid
Confirms the project and reserves a provisional place in the production schedule. Details can still be refined afterwards.
05
Production slot fixed
Protects your timings and guarantees space to engineer your products.
Phase 02
Survey and detailing
Mostly paced by your site

Getting your site ready
Openings built and structure in place. Surveys are booked around 2–3 weeks ahead.

Asbestos survey
Your responsibility on buildings from before 2000: a refurbishment and demolition (R&D) survey, needed before we can attend site.

Technical survey
On site or from your drawings, covering apertures, wall build-up, structural support and how our installation fits your build programme.

Order detailing
Every size, finish, glass spec and handle confirmed – around 2 weeks after survey.

You approve the contract and final order schedule
We'll only place the order once you're happy and have signed it off.

Manufacturing deposit
Paid alongside the finalised contract; this releases your order to the factory.
Phase 03
Manufacture
Around 6 weeks

In production
Built to order at our factory in Mäo, Estonia.

Finished and inspected
Every unit checked against your specification before it leaves the line.

Released from the factory
The final invoice is issued and your order is released for shipping.

Shipping and storage
Brought to the UK and held in our warehouse until your site is ready.
Phase 04
Delivery and installation
Booked to suit your site

Pre-installation visit
We check access, openings and sequencing before delivery day; where necessary, your site team makes adjustments on-site for a smooth install.

Safety and lifting plans
Method statements and, where the glass is heavy, a crane or lift plan.

Fitting kit assembled
Every fixing, seal and trim picked for your specific job.

Delivery and installation
Fitted by Norrsken’s own installation teams.

Commissioning and checks
Every opening adjusted, tested, quality-checked, then photographed and logged in our installers’ app for full QA records.
Phase 05
Handover and aftercare

Handover
Everything demonstrated to you, with a documented sign-off.

Aftercare
Guarantees, servicing and the same team still reachable afterwards.
