What are aluminium-clad timber windows, and can they be made bespoke?

Aluminium-clad timber windows combine a solid timber core with a powder-coated aluminium exterior that protects against weathering with minimal maintenance. Norrsken's aluminium-clad windows are manufactured to order, with bespoke sizing, RAL colour matching, glazing bar configurations, hardware options and opening styles all available.

Are timber windows a practical choice for a self-build home?

Engineered timber, used in all Norrsken window frames, is stable, sustainably sourced and significantly more durable than softwood alternatives. With an aluminium-clad exterior, maintenance requirements are minimal even in exposed locations. The interior timber finish also offers warmth and character that aluminium or uPVC frames cannot replicate.
