Role Overview

Playing pivotal roles in our quotes and order processing team, our junior estimators gather data from emails, documents and drawings to define project requirements. Your role in the team will be to produce accurate quotes by inputting details into our intuitive in-house ordering software.

Sometimes, you’ll need to carefully study survey details and previous quotes to find the relevant details. You’ll be given comprehensive training, and you’ll quickly gain familiarity with building processes and our product range. There are great opportunities to expand your level of responsibility and progress within a truly cooperative, caring, and close-knit team.

Key Behaviours for this role

We are looking for a technically minded person who enjoys maths-type tasks and can visualise how things go together – you’d consider yourself ‘good with numbers’ and can logically work through problems.

You’re dedicated and highly motivated to learn new skills and expand your knowledge base. A detail-oriented and methodical worker, you’ll ensure that each order is executed thoroughly and with every detail spot on.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Acrobat and is computer literate. The ability to read technical drawings is an advantage, but not necessary.

You’ll be articulate and enjoy discussing your ideas in a team setting.

School leavers with GCSEs or A-Levels are welcome to apply for this role. We’d love to see evidence that you’re a logical thinker – not necessarily that you have years of experience in the industry.

Why join the Norrsken team?

You will work with a friendly, tightly knit team who are equally committed to delivering the best results. You’ll be taught efficient work practices and will gain essential technical skills you’ll go on to use again and again. The work is varied and rewarding.

Depending on experience, we offer a competitive starting salary and there are always opportunities to progress within the growing team as our company expands.

We always finish on a Friday at 3 pm!

Salary £17,000 - £21,000 per annum, depending on Experience

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter to jobs@norrsken.co.uk .
